Beyond academics
Celebrations
Moments that teach belonging, culture and joy.
Celebration is part of how a school remembers who it is. Across the year, GD Goenka Kupwara gathers students and staff for national days, cultural festivals, house events and school milestones — occasions that turn the campus into a shared stage of music, colour and conversation.
These days are designed with purpose. Younger children discover stories, songs and simple rituals; older students plan, perform and lead. Everyone learns that tradition can be honoured with warmth, and that difference can be welcomed without losing one’s own roots.
How we celebrate
- Assemblies and performances that give every child a chance to participate
- Cultural programmes that introduce regional and national traditions with care
- House and class events that build teamwork beyond the classroom
- Community moments that bring parents into the life of the school
Above all, celebrations here are about presence — being together, noticing each other, and leaving the day with a clearer sense of school spirit.
