Beyond academics
School houses
Compassion, Courage, Wisdom and Hope — four houses for the whole school, session 2026–2027.
GD Goenka Public School Kupwara runs an established house system. Every student belongs to one of four houses: Compassion (yellow), Courage (green), Wisdom (blue) and Hope (orange). The split is meant for team spirit, a place to belong, healthy competition, and a clear way to share duties.
Houses plan the weekly morning assembly in turn and help keep discipline at arrival and departure. Teachers are allotted to each house so teams can be managed through the year. Students stay in their house; placement follows class roll numbers as published in the House System Planner.
Teacher allocation
Each house has a captain and a team of teachers for session 2026–2027. Together they run assemblies, duties, competitions and the monthly soft board.
